SWAT: Self-Advocacy Training for Teens

Teens, get started with Foundational Family self-advocacy training and learn how to explain to others what you need to be your best self.

Everyone has a superpower!

Too often we are more aware of our kryptonite than our unique and individual powers. During our Strength, Weaknesses, and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) Self-advocacy Training, teens get to take pride in their strengths while learning how to master their weaknesses. S.W.A.T. is all about teamwork and support as we explore not just the academic but social interactions. After S.W.A.T. training, teens will have begun the transformation into the Superhero they were meant to be!

Foundational Family teams up with teens to create strong, confident individuals ready to take on the world.

Take pride on your strengths

Learn to master your weaknesses

Learn how to tell others what you need

Become the superhero you were meant to be

Meet Nancy

Hear first hand from our founder, Nancy Grabe, who early in life, was labeled with things like dyslexia, being a moron and just being ‘weird’ (well, that might be true). She loves to share stories from her struggles and successes. Nancy Grabe is a therapist, parent coach and speaker with 30 years of experience helping families, children and businesses thrive. Her background in social work and Christian counseling has given her firsthand knowledge of the issues families face today, and the lasting impact of empowering parents. Nancy is a believer in healing the broken hearted and helping people overcome emotional pain to live abundant lives.
